Halley’s Bible Handbook – HIGHLY RECOMMEND – provides background overviews of each book of the Bible
Illustrated Bible Dictionary – defines and describes the backgrounds of biblical people, places, and things in alphabetical order (good ones are from Baker, Zondervan, Holman, or Nelson)
