Our new Canyon Hills Biblical Counseling Credential is intended to equip those who desire to be able to offer hope & help through God’s Word. This a clear path for serving in our Counseling Ministry.
Pacific Northwest Biblical Counseling Conference
In 2025, we are pleased to host Dr. Stuart Scott as our Keynote Speaker to unpack “Communication and Conflict Resolution.” Join us on May 30-31, 2025, for a weekend of training to further your understanding of how biblical counseling speaks to these common struggles in relationships. Counseling Symposium
For many, guilt is their constant unwanted companion. No job is ever done well enough, no rest is ever warranted, and their relationship with God is never good enough. Criticism is also hard for anyone to hear. Is there a way forward that isn’t just gritting your teeth, angrily defending yourself, or wallowing in shame and despair? At this year’s symposium on November 8-9, 2024, Dr. Amy Baker will walk through how we, as counselors, can help those who struggle with these issues to understand and react to guilt and criticism biblically. Upcoming Training Opportunities
- Fundamentals – Foundational training in a weekly class format that will count toward Phase 1 of ACBC Certification and step 1 of the Canyon Hills Counseling Credential, but is truly beneficial to anyone who is seeking to learn how they can minister (formally or informally) using God’s Word to those He has placed in their lives. This class will be offered January-April/May of 2025.
- Observations – Observing 10 sessions of counseling from an ACBC certified counselor. At this time, we are offering Observations as a class in late spring 2025. Before then, we would recommend fulfilling this portion of Phase One of certification through IBCD’s Observation Videos, which can be purchased with a yearly or monthly subscription found here: IBCD Subscription
